Evaluation
here is a second attempt at filming in groups but this time it was at our houses with me, Jack, Leah and Kieran and we filmed them on our phones. I think that you can see that there were some improvements with still a few mistakes. I have actually followed the rule of thirds which makes the shots look nicer, the extreme close ups are no executed better now and the angles and composition of shots have improve as well. I had also learned how to slow things down when editing which could become useful in future.
- Although I have improved I'm still a little bit inexperienced, needing to improve more example my moving shots could of been done a lot better because i feel like they where quite sloppy.

Paranoia Film/Edit
Evaluation
This was our first time working in groups to film something, I had only just learned about camera shots at this time and my other members had learned separate things so we applied all the knowledge together. The shots were alright but there was obviously some things to improve like my long shot did not include the whole body from head to toe, my over shoulder shot did not go over the shoulders and my extreme close up included more than just the eyes as well.
- Overall the shots need to be improve especially the close ups my angles needed to to be better as well, i also believe that i have broken both the rule of thirds and the 180 degree rule

Se7en Edit
This is to show that I can edit and what i have learned from it like inter cutting to make scenes make sense, trimming to shorten a video clip or picture run time, filtering to put effects on pictures or videos to make it suit the genre more
Falling Down Sound Edit
Watch until 2:23
I done this so i could learn how to apply sound to a video, also to learn how to layer sounds over each other and which specific files work on garage band cause some files don't work on it.
- I can now cut the sounds to make it shorter but you can also expand them to make them longer but that just loops it over so it will sound a bit unprofessional it could work in some situations though.
- I can now fade sounds in to make them appear as if they are further away or coming closer
- Not sure if you realize but i had a Foley added in this which is the bit where he slaps himself I added that slapping noise by recording me clap
- Had my Ambient noise as cars beeping to show that the scene is set in a traffic jam

The Streets Analysis
This is the Streets analysis and I will be answering the
questions on about Mise-en- scene, camera, sound and editing.
Mise-en-scene
The first one Mise-en-scene which mostly about props,
location and characters, the first location tells us that the wife belongs in
the house being a house wife not working but cleaning up and taking the kids to
school I know this because she is seen to be cleaning the dishes whilst arguing
with her husband in the first scene and this can be seen as being very
feminine. The other location tells us that the husband belongs at a building
site which is his job this can be seen a very masculine and alpha male because
he is the working dad that goes to a dangerous job requiring him to carry heavy
things and work with machinery which is quite masculine in terms of strength
also him being the one that provides for his family shows that he may also be
the alpha male.
The wife had a tight pink top which the colour is seen as
feminine whilst the top being tight is shown as being quite provocative as well
because it would shows of her assets which is quite manipulative to men, which
could be seen as something an alpha female would do. The husband was wearing a
lumber jack shirt at the building site, this could be seen as being manly
because a lumber jack are normally strong men who cut down massive trees with
an axe which requires a lot of physical strength with is one of the manly
traits. He was also seen to be wearing a an unstylish grubby t-shirt this could
point out that he is too lazy to put on other shirts, which laziness is
normally associated with men or it could be seen as that he doesn’t have enough
time and money to be spending on different t-shits so this could end up in categorizing
this family with being in the working class. To further on define these
characters you have some of the props that they were associated with, for
example you had the husband with a hammer, which is a type of tool and tools
are seen as manly because you use them to break or fix things which is what
they usually do because they like to feel like they are dependent but also like
the power of destruction as well. You had the woman eating the éclair which I think
could have been seen as a phallic symbol especially how she ate it, it looked
like it was done in a sexual way the same goes for when she liked her finger
that looked pretty sexual as well.
Camera
The camera makes the male look bigger and the female a lot
smaller when it was using a point of view shot form the little girls
perspective through the gap of the door this is when the camera would quickly
transition between them in an aggressive way when they were arguing showing
that it was an intense moment and the camera making the male seem bigger means
that he had more power than the woman. Camera also made the female seem useless
when the pipe broke in the house by using a high angle showing that she is
small, vulnerable and in need for help this is backed up by her later on in
that scene shouting for help. The camera had created some sexual tension by
using close up of her liking her fingers in a sort of sexual way almost
objectifying the female it also did created a sexual tension again by using a mid-shot,
side angle when both the house wife and business man where staring at each
other in a sexual way. Also the mid-shot in the scene looks as if somebody was
peeping through the door way so it would make the audience feel like it is them
peeping and you would normally peep if something naughty is going to happen.
Sound
I would say that aggression is the sound that I would
associate with the social groups which is working class and a desperate sound
as well because it is like they are desperate for help due to their financial
problems. The sounds do express how the character feels at times for example
when the male was at his job the sounds where quite sharp, rough, angry and
aggressive, loud which sort of leads down to being angry, frustrated which is
what he was feeling from how hard he was hammering down that nail to break the
concrete. You also had house wife in silence, this could be seen as her taking
a moment to think to herself which I think is pretty feminine seeing as women
think before they act where as men do the opposite and just act before thy think
it’s sort of from their ego. These sounds where in sync with the edits with
every time he was hammering the shot was using match on action, seeing him
hammering from different angles and distances.
Editing
The editing goes well with the dialogue with when the
parents where arguing so the camera was looking through the door as if it was a
point of view shot but it was faded on the door and focusing on the parents and
it would always transition quickly to whoever was talking. And that is what
this scene relies on fast and quick editing with mostly being positioned with
the female as if she was the main focus throughout the whole scene just so we
could see how powerless she was I think. This whole scene re-enforces
stereotypes telling us how media picks it out as it should be. (watch clip till 2:40)

Spoiler Review: Leon The Professional
This film is a crime, drama, and thriller. It is about a
young girl named Mathilda who hates her family apart from her little brother,
she has her family killed by corrupt policemen because her farther messed with
the drugs. This ends up in Mathilda being saved by Leon who further on in the
movie ends up being like a farther figure to her. Later figuring out that Leon
is a hitman she asks if he can train her so she can revenge her little brother’s
death and the story goes on form there with the two characters slowly changing.
I thought this movie was alright it was lacking in mystery
there was none to be exact there were no questions I was thinking of apart from
what is going to happen next. The amount of suspense made up for its lack of
mystery by me like I said ask what is going to happen next and there was lot of
it the scene where Mathilda has an assault and is being taught how to shoot and
she could pick a random target and I was thinking there is no way she could be
shooting a real gun for her first lesson and it turned out to be a paint gun.
One thing the movie done well was its characters how they
were portrayed and developed. You had Leon being a professional hitman very
smart when it comes to killing and is respectful but he wasn't really generally
smart, Mathilda a smart kid who is not so respectful and is pretty inexperience
in life and love and then you had Stansfield the unstable one who takes pills
to calm him down his the main boss of the corrupt policemen. The actors did a great job with Jean Reno as Leon, Gary Oldman as Stansfield and Natalie Portman as Mathilda. I also think that the plot twist was lacking because you
could see that Leon was going to die you just knew because of how it was
building up to it with a sort of final fight with him against the police force.
Overall I give this films plot twist a 4.5/10 for being too
predictable
