Camera & camera shots

-White balancing: blue and yellow are the main colours white balancing. Yellow being natural light from the sun and Blue being artificial light

white balance chart
-Focus: This is when you focus on an object or when you don't focus on an object this gives of a blurry effect. This technique can become very useful because it can tell the audience what they should be focusing on. For example you could have your main character focused and the background blurred.

This is a good example of focusing the camera on an important character the audience should be focusing on whilst the background is blurred out with the less likely to be focusing on.
-mystery: to create this with a camera you could obscures the face of a character, use tight shots or some blurry close ups of a characters face

What are the 7 common mistakes people make when filming
1. Back light constantly
2.close up too close
3.don't make every shit too high
4.jogging the camera
5.don't zoom in
6.allow extra time
7.sweeping the scene

Camera shots
- long shots see character from head to toe allows to.show relationship between character and the environment
- mid shot see character from waist up allows audience to connect with character
- close up, from shoulder to head
- point of view, to engage audience with characters motives or what they are looking at

-extreme close up to show specific part of character if eyes then it exaggerates the expression a little bit
